Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-philosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the vital life force energy within spirit, mind, and body. This vital life force energy, known in some traditions as “chi”, “ki” or “prana”, moves throughout all layers of your being and carries innate healing intelligence. When energy is circulating in harmony, you feel at your best! When blockages occur, you feel discomfort, unwell, out of balance. There is no separation between the mental/emotional state and the physical body. There can be many contributing factors for blockages in energy pathways, a few being stress, environmental and dietary factors, and toxic belief systems/conditioning.
Jin Shin Jyutsu uses gentle touch, breath and awareness to promote optimal circulation of the vital life force energy, in order to restore balance and health. Jin Shin Jyutsu comes from the “beginning-less beginnings", according to Master Jiro Murai who rediscovered this art in 1910 through his own mystical and healing experience with holding simple finger mudras. It is truly the Creator's Art for Humanity. This art is very relaxing, rejuvenating, and effective in reducing stress and increasing vitality and well-being.
Jin Shin Jyutsu offers wonderful and gentle support during times of stress, illness, and life transitions, and can also be used for general maintenance and upkeep of health and well being, physically, mentally/emotionally, and spiritually.
Along with receiving sessions, you may also learn self care practices. Mary Burmeister, who brought the gift of this art to the world, referred to it as "the Art of getting to KNOW (Help) Myself". The study and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu leads to self-study, and to the awareness of ways to keep yourself in harmony. This "Art of Living" is truly a beautiful gift and blessing, a pathway guiding you back to your true nature. Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonizes the invisible (etheric) body which, in turn, harmonizes the physical body, so it can be practiced from afar as well as in-person.
Receiving multiple sessions, such as once a day for 10 days, facilitates the deep unwinding of energetic patterns and the clearing of fatigue that is so helpful with severe or chronic illness or during stressful times. It can also be a wonderful gift of self-care if you are simply wanting to go deeper into your journey of rejuvenation, healing, transformation and self-love.
I offer individual sessions, multiple-session intensives as well as self-care packages for ongoing maintenance. I do hands-on sessions, as well as remote sessions, personal consultations, and customized audio self-help recordings, to support and guide you in your daily self-care.
All of my sessions include individualized self-care practices ("homework") to empower you with ways to take care of yourself on a daily basis. I also teach self-care classes and lead weekly guided self-care circles on zoom. The practice of self-help with Jin Shin Jyutsu is simple, fun, and incredibly transformational!
