Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-philosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy of spirit, mind, and body with gentle touch, breath, and awareness. Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) accesses your body's innate harmonizing wisdom to restore balance and health. JSJ is very relaxing, rejuvenating, and effective in reducing stress and increasing vitality and well-being.
Jin Shin Jyutsu translates as "the art of the creator through person of compassion and knowing." It is a study of the cosmos itself, and of cosmic energy as it denses down from the highest vibration (spiritual, light) into the physical body (skin surface-deep skin-blood-muscles-bones). JSJ is a study of nature within and all around us. No matter where we live or what our lifestyle is, we are all influenced by the rhythm and cycles of nature, of the elements around us and within us.
JSJ offers simple practices for aligning ourselves with the harmony of nature. It utilizes 26 "safety energy locks", which are vibrational centers, located along energy pathways in the body. We can simply hold or breathe into these energy locks to release tension and restore balance to the energy flows, thereby harmonizing the immune system, digestive system, reproductive system, central nervous system, endocrine system and more. Each of the safety energy locks has a number and universal meaning.
Jin Shin Jyutsu offers wonderful and gentle support during times of stress, illness, and life transitions, and can also be used for general maintenance and upkeep of health and well being, physically, mentally/emotionally, and spiritually.
Along with receiving JSJ sessions from a practitioner, you may also learn self care practices. Mary Burmeister, who brought the gift of JSJ to the world, referred to it as "the Art of getting to KNOW (Help) Myself". The study and practice of JSJ leads to self-study, and to the awareness of ways to keep ourselves in harmony. This "Art of Living" is truly a beautiful gift and blessing, a pathway guiding us back to our true nature. JSJ harmonizes the invisible (etheric) body which, in turn, harmonizes the physical body, so it can be practiced from afar as well as in-person.
Receiving multiple sessions, such as once a day for 10 days, facilitates the deep unwinding of energetic patterns and the clearing of fatigue that is so helpful with severe or chronic illness or during stressful times. It can also be a wonderful gift of self-care if you are simply wanting to go deeper into your journey of rejuvenation, healing, transformation and self-love.
I offer individual sessions, multiple-session intensives as well as self-care packages for ongoing maintenance. I do hands-on sessions, as well as remote sessions, personal consultations, and customized audio self-help recordings, to support and guide you in your daily self-care.
All of my sessions include individualized self-care practices ("homework") to empower you with ways to take care of yourself on a daily basis. I also teach self-care classes and lead weekly guided self-care circles on zoom. The practice of self-help with Jin Shin Jyutsu is simple, fun, and incredibly transformational!
