Jin Shin Jyutsu

Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-philosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy of the spirit, mind, and body. Jin Shin Jyutsu awakens our innate healing capacity, restoring balance and health. Receiving Jin Shin Jyutsu is very relaxing, rejuvenating, and effective in reducing stress and increasing vitality.
Jin Shin Jyutsu translates as "the art of the creator through the person of compassion and knowing." It is a study of the cosmos itself, and of cosmic energy as it denses down from the highest vibration (spiritual) into the physical body. It employs 26 "safety energy locks", which are similar to acupressure points, located along energy pathways in our bodies. We can simply hold or visualize these energy locks to release tension and restore balance to the energy flows, thereby harmonizing the immune system, digestive system, reproductive system, central nervous system, and more. Each of these energy locks has a number and universal meaning.
Jin Shin Jyutsu offers wonderful and gentle support during times of stress, illness, and life transitions, as well as for general maintenance of your health and well being. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a gentle and relaxing modality that supports both the mother and baby when used during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
It is sometimes recommended to receive multiple sessions in a row, such as twice a day for 5 days, or once a day for 10 days. This facilitates the deep unwinding of energetic patterns and the clearing of fatigue that is so helpful with severe or chronic illness, during stressful times, or if you are simply wanting to go deeper in a sort of personal retreat.
This art can be applied by a practitioner, and also on one's self. Mary Burmeister, who brought the gift of Jin Shin Jyutsu to the world, referred to it as "the art of getting to KNOW (Help) myself". The study and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu leads to self-study, and to the awareness of ways to keep ourselves in harmony. This "art of living" is truly a beautiful gift and blessing, a pathway guiding us back to our true nature.
I offer individual Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions, multiple-session intensives as well as self-care packages for ongoing maintenance. I offer both in-person, hands-on sessions as well as distance sessions. Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonizes the energetic (etheric) body which, in turn, harmonizes the physical body, so it can be practiced from afar. All sessions include individualized self-help practices to empower you with ways to take care of yourself on a daily basis. I also teach self-help classes and lead weekly guided self-help circles on zoom. The practice of self-help with Jin Shin Jyutsu is simple, fun, and incredibly transformational!
