I fell in love with plants and herbal medicine 19 years ago while apprenticing on an organic farm outside of Eugene, Oregon. I became fiercely drawn to all the weeds that grew so vigorously without having been planted. Many of these weeds, as I learned, were medicinal plants with much to offer in the way of healing.
Plants were the medicine of our ancestors, and in our modern world they offer a profound gift for our individual and collective well being and healing. Herbs and flower essences work on both physiological and vibrational levels to address and harmonize the underlying cause of dis-ease in our body, mind, and spirit. Plant medicines provide invaluable support in times of illness, injury, and emotional stress, as well as through natural life cycles such as menstruation, pregnancy, labor, postpartum and menopause. Herbs and flower essences can be helpful on their own, as well as in conjunction with other systems of healing, including Jin Shin Jyutsu and also western medicine.
Herbal remedies can help: depression, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, headaches, menopausal symptoms, pms, skin rashes, high blood pressure, yeast and urinary tract infections, high cholesterol, back pain, respiratory infections, allergies, colds, coughs, and more. They offer us greater health, balance, and vitality.
I am available for herbal consultations in person and by phone. I share an extensive apothecary of herbal medicine including tinctures, teas, salves, flower essences, and aromatherapy spritzers with my sister Atava, all of which is handmade with love by the two of us.
