Birth is a natural and sacred process which allows women to connect more deeply with the innate wisdom and power within their own bodies. It is one of the greatest rites of passage in this life.
The amazing care that I received during the home birth of my son in 2008 inspired me to offer the gift of support to other women during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I have since supported over 150 women in their birth journeys. From helping you navigate the options for your birth, to providing comprehensive prenatal education, or simply being a compassionate, calming presence you can call upon for support or with questions, I have a depth of invaluable resources to offer. I bring over 30 years experience in the healing arts to my work as a birth doula, including my expertise in Jin Shin Jyutsu to support you through this pivotal time with greater ease and confidence.
Birth Doula Services
I offer complete birth doula packages, providing continuous support throughout pregnancy and labor, as well as private prenatal classes and consultations. All of my services are available in-person in the Detroit metro area, and also on Zoom.
I am also a Michigan Medicaid community doula, currently contracted with Molina and United Healthcare Community Plan. I am also one of the birth doulas on staff at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and West Bloomfield, for women who meet criteria for the HF birth doula program.

Studies have shown that women who were supported by a doula during their labor reported: labor and birth as less painful, less anxiety after birth, feelings of increased self-confidence, an easier time with breastfeeding, improved relationship with their partner, and lower incidence of postpartum depression.
